The Bournemouth Writing Prize recently welcomed literary agent Julia Silk, from Charlie Campbell Literary Agents, as a new addition to the Short Story competition judging panel.
Julia has worked in publishing for over 20 years as an editor, bookseller and, since 2016, as an agent. At Charlie Campbell Literary Agents she represents authors across the spectrum of commercial and literary fiction and narrative non-fiction, and counts several short story writers among her clients, including Owen Booth, Amanda Mason and Heidi James.
Emma Scattergood, Director of The Bournemouth Writing Prize, said: “We are so delighted that Julia has joined the team and I am really looking forward to working with her. I am sure that, with Julia and Picador’s Ansa Khan Khattak, on the panel, we will have some fabulous and interesting debates on the Short Story shortlist!”
The Bournemouth Writing Prize closes for entries on January 16th 2022. To find out more about how to enter your short stories, go to the Competitions page on the website.
